The 3 Fonteinen Brewery has initiated, by supporting it, the creation of a network of cereal producers located in the Pajottenland region of Flanders. All of them are involved in the cultivatation of old and local varieties of wheat and barley, specifically selected for beer production. Cycle en Terre is a cooperative producing and selling organic grains from the public domain. It was born in 2016 from the initiative of Fanny Lebrun, with the support of Bruno Greindl and Damien Van Miegroet. It was created by Catherine Andrianne and is specialized in the production and marketing of seeds from traditional and reproducible varieties, with a specific focus given to the research and development of locally adapted varieties (Belgium and North of France). Located in the centre of Liège, the Vaillant-Wathelet graineterie is the last independent grain shops found in Belgium. Its history dates back to 1891, when two neighbouring garden centres decided to merge.
